Activities Nearby: Don’t let the halcyon serenity fool you. There is lots to do in Grande Riviere. The star attraction is, of course, the Leatherback Turtle laying her eggs (March 01-August 31) and, at the end of the season, the miraculous sight of the hatchlings making their way down to the sea. The fishing off the North Coast is excellent and Cyril, our resident guide, will be more than happy to show you the ropes. You can visit a number of rivers and waterfalls located nearby. We will be happy to recommend hiking trails for both the amateur and the seasoned hiker. Even a simple drive can be an exciting event. Visit the nearest fishing depot at sundown and see the fishermen bringing ashore their haul or, in local parlance, pulling seine.
If this all sounds a little too strenuous, you can lie back and enjoy an aromatherapy massage by our trained masseuse. Or just relax with a good book and enjoy the sounds of the forest.
Kayaks for Ocean or River use, are available in either one or two seat versions at TTD$50 and TTD$75 respectively.
