Today the hotel is a luxurious blend of gracious living and fascinating naval history. The hotel consists of 14 suites or studios, each named after one of Lord Nelson's ships. This intimate Antiguan Hotel is situated in the center of historic Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour in one of the original buildings constructed by Lord Nelson during the period 1783 .It was used to store copper and lumber for ship building and maintenance. The process of authentic restoration and conversion of the property into a Georgian Inn was begun in 1982 to 1988. Today the Dockyard houses a world class marina facility providing the opportunity to vacation steps away from some of the most luxurious and famous yachts in the sailing world.
As home to the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting, Antigua Classic Regatta and Antigua Sailing Week, the Copper and Lumber Hotel is a great location for sailors or enthusiasts to join in the fun.
The suites and studios of The Copper & Lumber Store Hotel are elegantly furnished with authentic antiques and period pieces which perfectly enhance the weathered brickwork, hand-hewn beams and mellow brass. Old sailing prints, steamer trunks, ceiling fans, faux gas lamps, and four-poster canopy beds exuding the gracious elegance of 18th century England.
The rooms open into the center courtyard filled with tropical plants, or have exquisite views of the Harbor, dotted year-round with anchored yachts and sailboats.

The Mainbrace Pub is a major meeting place in the Dockyard. Open for breakfast from 8am each morning and serving lunch daily(and dinner during March and April). The menu is traditional British pub with a succulent Caribbean flavour. A variety of soups, steaks, sandwiches, beer batter fish and chimps, shrimps, and snapper give an excellent choice for most foodies. You can choose to dine outdoors, in the courtyard or in the main bar area.
