This lovely, well maintained 3 bedroom home is located in the residential neighborhood a short walk south of the village. Constructed by the American owner & his sons who built it to North American standards with lots of Belizean input and wisdom on a lot with an island story which includes one of Caye Caulker’s earliest iconic expats.
As the house was built to accommodate the owner’s large extended family it has much to offer groups of family or friends. A master bedroom with ensuite, secondary bedroom with queen bed and the third featuring 2 twins, along with a second bathroom, offers an assorted dynamic that will accommodate a varied party of guests.
Upfront, the owner lets you know that while the house is not air conditioned with the use of the ceiling and wall fans it remains comfortable year round, call it unconditioned air conditioning.
The large, open kitchen/dining/living room allows for a living style that will appeal to most and the quiet location offers privacy and solitude for after hours relaxing. A large deck to the west will attract the sunbather with a book or a group of friends just relaxing with a cold drink.
For those of you with children, a large, open loft, with ladder is available for the kids to have their own space to get away from the adults for a bit. The house is fully furnished and the kitchen offers all the utensils, table and beverage ware to care for your party’s party.
There is a flat screen TV, stereo and WiFi for entertainment if you really feel you must stay in the house.

Kim made sure to meet us at the house and go over how everything worked; he helped us figure out how to secure our valuables, made sure we knew not to drink the water from the tap and gave us an overall sense of ease, which kicked off our vacation on the right foot. He even gave our group a name - the FaB five!
The house looks just like the pictures, and we took advantage of every square inch. We ate and laughed at the table, read and chatted in the living room, wandered from room to room making plans and relaxing in the comfort of our oasis. Whenever I had a question, I could send Kim a text and he responded quickly, friendly and professionally.
It is well worth the value; far enough away from the main street where you feel secluded, but close enough so you don't feel isolated. We truly bonded with Kim, Ruby, his beautiful dogs and even the babies (sorry we made you cry, boys!)
Make sure you get the maid service and tip them nicely - they restored order to our home in record time. Also, turn on the light and scan the bathroom before stepping in - sometimes there are crawly delights (but hey, the more the merrier right?)
Overall, an awesome experience. I didn't want to leave! You won't want to leave either, because Kim and his staff go above and beyond to meet your needs in paradise.
